  • Badminton Racquet and Shuttlecock.

    The period of play is fixed at 30 minutes. Individual players are asked to play in duo to maximize participation (we can't guarantee the players will be of similar levels).   • There are six (6) half basketball courts are available for play. Full court basketball using the side baskets at the far end of the gymnasium is permitted. Individual players are asked to join teams with less then five (5) players in order to maximize participation and minimize waiting time for the challenging teams. Basketballs are available at the Client Services counter.

  • During recreational hockey Full equipment is required including a neck guard and CSA-approved helmet with full face visor must be worn at all times. Participants must provide their own equipment.

    Open to participants of all abilities who are lap swimming.  Participants must be 16+ or accompanied by an adult who is 16+. Some swims may run in the shallow end only.

    The Montpetit Aquatic Centre offers 50 m swims to vary your workout! Open to participants of all abilities who are lap swimming.  Participants must be 16+ or accompanied by an adult who is 16+. Some swims may run in the shallow end only.

  • Open to participants of all ages and abilities. The shallow end is set up for lane swim. The deep end has an area for relaxing and an area reserved for using the 3m and 5m diving platforms.

    All children 7 years and under must be directly supervised by an adult who is within arms’ reach.

  • During martial arts practice the use of protective equipment is recommended, as this is a non-supervised activity. The use of equipment must be authorized by the Client services staff. Contact of any sort is prohibited during this practice time. Proper athletic attire must be worn at all times: jeans and cut-off shorts are not permitted in the Martial Arts room.   • During recreational skating, it is strongly recommend that a CSA-approved helmet and elbow pads be worn at all times. Participants must provide their own equipment.

  • Whether you are alone or with a group of friends, head to the Matt Anthony field located at 801 King Edward or to the dome (depending on the season) and play some recreational soccer! What do you need to get started? All we require is running shoes and suitable athletic wear.

  • To encourage participation for recreational volleyball, we would like to ask individual players to join teams with less than six (6) players in order to maximize participation and minimize waiting time for the challenging teams. Two (2) courts are available for play. If both courts are full, teams must play one (1) rally point game to 25. The winning team will remain on the court and challenge the awaiting team.
