Defenceman Ken Morin's goal at 1:27 of overtime was the difference Tuesday night in the Gee-Gees men's hockey 4-3 road loss at McGill.
The Gee-Gees, outshot 36-18, allowed a 3-1 first period lead to slide in falling to 5-4-3 in the OUA Far East.
"We wanted to take the easy road once we were up," said Gee-Gees head coach Dave Leger. "We didn't generate much in the terms of chances after that."
uOttawa third-year left wing Sean Grady, rookie left wing Matthieu Methot, and fourth-year centre Kevin Glode's powerplay marker came in the opening 20 minutes.
The Redmen improved to 5-6-1.
"We tried to be way too cute," said Leger.
The Gee-Gees close out the first-half season schedule at Carleton December 2 (7:00 p.m.) in one of two OUA games leading into the Christmas break.
