The uOttawa Gee-Gees looked to return home with another solid road performance after visiting RMC on Saturday night. Coming off a nail-biting shootout loss to Ryerson on Friday night, the Gee-Gees recognized how valuable a win at RMC would be for their OUA standing.

In the end, the Gee-Gees capped off their road trip with a 3-1 victory over RMC, improving their road record to 4-1-1 on the season. With the win, the Gee-Gees are now tied with UQTR for fourth spot in OUA East standings with a 6-4-2 record, good enough for 14 points.

The Garnet & Grey squad was able to score a goal in each period on Saturday night, spreading out the attack and balancing the scoring between three different players. Goals came from Stephen Blunden (Ottawa, Ont.), Patrick Burns (Ottawa, Ont.), and Matthieu Methot(Ottawa, Ont.).

Second year forward Luc Olivier Blain had a hand in all three goals on the evening. Blain’s 14 points on the season lead the Gee-Gees so far.

The Gee-Gees also managed to score on one of two power play opportunities on the evening, an aspect of their game that the squad has been looking to improve upon moving forward.

With another successful road trip under their belt, the Gee-Gees will now turn their focus to next weekend when they host Ryerson on Saturday, November 19, and Nipissing on Sunday, November 20. The boys in Garnet & grey will be looking to strike revenge against a Ryerson squad who stole a point away from them in a shootout on Friday, and a Nipissing team that handed them a loss in their season opener by a score of 5-2.
