The Blues and Gee-Gees had a close first quarter, with the Gee-Gees leading 15-12 going into the second.

The Gee-Gees continued to outscore the Blues in the next two quarters and, despite a good effort by the Blues to come back in the last quarter, the Gee-Gees managed to secure their lead to win the game.

Toronto native and fifth-year veteran Josh Gibson-Bascombe had a strong performance in his hometown, along with second-year teammate Warren Ward (London, Ont.), both bucketing 17 points apiece for the team and a combined 11 rebounds. Gibson-Bascombe was also this week’s OUA and uOttawa athlete of the week.

Fifth-year guard Donnie Gibson (Kingston, Ont.) led the Gee-Gees in rebounds with 9.

The Gee-Gees will look to take their winning record into double digits tomorrow evening, as they take on the Ryerson Rams at 8:00 p.m. The webcast can be viewed online at
