*The Gee-Gees moved up to No. 6 in the CIS top-ten this week, up two from last week’s No. 9 ranking.

*The Gee-Gees are currently No. 2 in the OUA east, just below the Carleton Ravens (11-1 OUA).

*The Gee-Gees defeated both the University of Toronto and Ryerson University last weekend on the road, contributing to an eight game winning streak.

*Queen’s Gael Mitch Leger is No. 2 in the OUA for points per game with 21.85, with Gee-Gees fifth-year guard Josh Gibson-Bascombe (Toronto, Ont.) following at No. 6 with 19.42 and second-year guard Warren Ward (London, Ont.) at No. 8 with 17.58. Gibson-Bascombe leads the CIS standings in assists, with 82 in 12 games.

*It is still to be determined whether Gibson-Bascombe will be playing in Friday’s game, says DeAveiro, as he is currently experiencing flu-like symptoms.

* “We prepare for every game the same way, no matter who we play,” said head coach Dave DeAveiro.

*“Our goal for these 10 remaining regular season games is to continue to improve,” added DeAveiro. “Of course it’d be nice to win them all.”
