First-year guard Johnny Berhanemeskel, Ottawa, Ont., was on fire again tonight going four for four from the three-point line, and finishing with a season high 31 points.
Head coach James Derouin was very pleased with the win, and believes they are moving in the right direction: “A really great second half in particular. It was a big win on the road again for us, just an all around good game for us. We did what we needed to do this weekend. The team played amazing tonight, a great fourth-quarter run and the guys stayed aggressive for the first time when we’re up eight or nine. They’re really learning to how play with each other.”
The Gee-Gees will be in Toronto next weekend as they try to maintain a stronghold on the number three spot in the OUA East Division.
