The annual Panda Game between the Gee-Gees (4-1) and Carleton Ravens (1-3) is this weekend at TD Place. Coming into the game, the Gee-Gees found themselves just outside of the U SPORTS Top 10, after defeating Windsor on Saturday. Carleton enters the game off of their bye week. The Ravens have taken home Pedro for the last three years, with the Gee-Gees last winning in 2013, in the return edition of the game. Kickoff is set for 1:09 p.m. and will be broadcast on CHCH, live streamed on, and on the radio at TSN1200. You can still buy a Panda pre-party and game package.


The U SPORTS fifth-ranked women’s rugby team (3-1) is at Bishop’s on Saturday. The Gee-Gees are riding an explosive 116-0 win over McGill and will be taking on a Gaiters team that is 0-4 and has given up 275 points so far this season. The game gets underway at 1 p.m.

U SPORTS fifth-ranked Gee-Gees women’s soccer (6-1-2) is taking to the road for a visit to Northern Ontario for matches against the Laurentian Voyageurs (4-3) and Nipissing Lakers (2-4-1). With their first home games in over a month looming the following week, the team is looking to close out the extended road stand with two wins. After a solid win against Ryerson and a tough draw against Toronto, the pressure is on for the second half of the regular season. Both matches get underway at 12 p.m. with neither being broadcasted live. Any updates will be posted on Twitter at @geegees_wsoccer.


The annual Gee-Gees Pre-Season Classic volleyball tournament takes place at Montpetit Hall this weekend. The Gee-Gees play their first match against Lakehead at 3 p.m. on Friday, with a match against OUA Champion McMaster at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the team takes on AUS Champion Dalhousie at 1 p.m. and Sherbrooke at 5. The tournament comes to a close on Sunday, the full schedule and ticketing information is available on the tournament website

Women’s basketball kicks off their exhibition against U SPORTS competition at the UQAM tournament in Montreal. The team plays Dalhousie first on Saturday and the host Citadins on Sunday. Stay tuned on the team Twitter account at @geegees_wbball for updates.

Men’s basketball also kicks off their U SPORTS exhibition schedule with a trip to Lennoxville, Que. to take on Bishop’s. The Gaiters finished last place in the RSEQ last season with a 2-14 record, this year, they went 0-3 against NCAA competition, while the Gee-Gees finished 3-1.

Men’s hockey is the team will travel south of the border to take on the Robert Morris Colonials in Pittsburgh, PA on Sept. 30 at 7:05 p.m. the game will be live streamed. The next day, the team will take on nationally tenth-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions in State College, PA at 3 p.m. with live stats available.

Women’s hockey continues their exhibition play with a trip to Sudbury and North Bay to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs and Nipissing Lakers. Puck drop is set for 7:45 at Laurentian on Friday night and 4:30 at Nipissing on Saturday evening. Stay tuned on Twitter at @geegees_whockey for updates.
