Second-year post Hannah Sunley-Paisley scored 19 points and added 12 rebounds Saturday as the upstart Gee-Gees women’s basketball team recorded a surprise 62-60 road upset over No. 3 Windsor.

The Gee-Gees, just 3-19 in the OUA East last season, finished 2-0 on the first road trip for first-time university head coachAndy Sparks.

“We’re going the right direction,” Sparks said, after the Gee-Gees worked out of a 30-28 deficit at the half. “The opposition probably didn’t expect it.”

Second-year guard Emilie Morasse contributed 15 points and five rebounds for uOttawa.

Third-year guard Dranadia Roc had 14 points and two rebounds for the Lancers, which entered the game 2-0.
