The uOttawa Interfaculty and Services Challenge (IFSC) aims to bring faculty and services together through a series of recreational volleyball tournaments. This year’s annual tournament is to take place on Tuesday, October 23rd from 6-9 p.m. in the Montpetit gyms.
The IFSC tournament provides opportunities for faculty and service members to unite as Gee-Gees while competing against other faculties and services in a recreational environment. It will provide a venue where faculty, students and university staff can socialize and interact with one another while participating in sport. This interaction, coupled with some friendly competition amongst the faculties and services, will help participants feel a stronger sense of attachment to both their faculty and the University as a whole thus increasing overall school spirit.
Be sure to speak to your fellow colleagues and gather a team of a maximum of 10 players to represent your service or faculty. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum of 16 teams in the tournament.
Don’t have a team but still want to get in on the fun? Send us your contact information and we will try to add you to a team!
Each team or individual will need to email intramur@uOttawa.ca no later than Thursday, October 18th at noon. Please include the list of players and their t-shirt size preferences. May the best service/faculty win! We will all be relaxing at Father and Sons after the tournament. We hope to see you there.
