The uOttawa Interfaculty and Services Challenge (IFSC) aims to bring faculty and services (both students and staff) together through a series of recreational volleyball tournaments.
This year the tournament will be held on Tuesday, October 24th from 5 pm to 9 pm followed by a social gathering.
The IFSC tournaments provide opportunities for faculty and service members to unite as Gee-Gees while competing against other faculties and services in a recreational environment. It will provide a venue where faculty, students and university staff can socialize and interact with one another while participating in sport. This interaction, coupled with some friendly competition amongst the faculties and services, will help participants feel a stronger sense of attachment to both their faculty and the University as a whole thus increasing overall school spirit.
Natalie Marcotte and Paul Ausman from Sport Services Intramurals will manage registration, the women’s Volleyball team will provide technical support and officiate, Food Services will help supplement our healthy snacks and Father & Sons will provide post event hosting with ½ price on special items.
If you want to get in on the excitement, simply form a team of 8 players per team with at least 1 student and 2 employees.
