Due to the new restrictions announced by the Ontario government on October 9, 2020, we must close our sports facilities for 28 days. This closure includes all recreational facilities in Montpetit Hall (fitness centre, gyms, dance studios, pool), the Minto Sports Complex (access to the medical clinic currently remains available) and the Lees Dome. The programming that was previously scheduled in these facilities will also be cancelled.
We recognize that this is disappointing and hope to welcome you back into our facilities once conditions allow.
There are many other great ways to exercise that don’t involve going to the gym; including running/jogging, prerecorded fitness classes, as well as live workouts! Here are some suggestions:
- Try a live online workout. Choose from Zumba, Legs and Abs, Yoga, and HIIT or give them all a try.
- Use our prerecorded fitness classes on the uOcampus YouTube page to work on your core, try a yoga class, challenge yourself with a high intensity HIIT workout, and more!
- Sign up for virtual personal training sessions. Our trainers are here to help and guide you, they will make sure you get the most out of your workout.
