The Student Athlete Mental Health Initiative (SAMHI) is beginning the process of building a nation-wide volunteer network of students advocating for the mental health of student-athletes on their university campuses!
We are a non-profit organization whose vision is mentally-health Canadian student-athletes who flourish in and out of competition.
Types of volunteer positions:
SAMHI Champion: Current student-athletes willing to take point on collaborating with students, athletes, coaches, campus and community resources to “champion” the SAMHI mission on their campus.
Communications: Individuals skilled in areas such as messaging, branding, graphic design, video production, media/broadcasting.
On-site event support: These individuals will be present to aid in event set-up and tear-down, and ensure the event runs smoothly.
Marketing/Promotion: Individuals with their finger on the pulse of social media, willing to promote SAMHI activities through Twitter, text, email and Facebook!
Event planners: Individuals with imagination willing to plan and take point on a SAMHI fundraising event at their school in 2015-2016!
Translator: Individuals comfortable translating text in both English and French.
