INTERFACULTY AND SERVICES CHALLENGE (ISC)
The uOttawa Interfaculty and Services Challenge (ISC)aims to bring faculty and services (both students and staff) together through a series of recreational volleyball tournaments. Members of all faculties and services are invited to register teams for either the second annual Fall ISC held on Tuesday October 25, 2011 or the second annual Winter ISC held on Tuesday February 21, 2012.
All tournaments are co-ed and will be held in the gyms at Montpetit Hall. Games will be played on Tuesday nights between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. during the fall and winter study breaks followed by a social hosted by Food Services at the Jazzy.
The ISC tournaments provide opportunities for faculty and service members to unite as Gee-Gees while competing against other faculties and services in a recreational environment. It will provide a venue where faculty students and university staff can socialize and interact with one another while participating in sport. This interaction, coupled with some friendly competition amongst the faculties and services, will help participants feel a stronger sense of attachment to both their faculty and the University as a whole thus increasing overall school spirit.
