The University of Ottawa Rowing Team has grown substantially over the last few years, both in size and in strength. Our focus on both athlete and team development has produced elite rowers and members of the national rowing team. In 2010, uOttawa won its first gold Canadian University Rowing Championship medal in the women’s single. With Sophie Roberge as the head coach since the 2010-2011 season, uOttawa Rowing is continuously improving their standing at university rowing competitions and fostering athletic development through our novice program. The team is self sufficient and completely student run by an elected executive.

The University of Ottawa rowing team offers two different levels of rowing:
The on-water rowing season begins in September and continues to the beginning of November. Practices take place in the morning, Monday to Saturday at the Ottawa Rowing Club. Throughout the winter, rowing athletes follow structured training programs in the gym and on the rowing machines. The University of Ottawa rowing team will participate in the following regattas over the season:
