Team photo of the equestrian team. The Equestrian team provides competitive opportunities in hunt-seat equitation both on the flat and over fences. The program welcomes students of all levels and competitions and offer opportunities in beginner walk-trot through to advanced hunter divisions. Due to the uniqueness of the program, students are not required to have their own horse.  The team competes in two circuits throughout the school year. In New York, it is the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) in Zone 2, Region 2. In Ontario, it is the Ontario University Equestrian Association (OUEA). Horses are provided by the host universities, which gives teams a unique opportunity to hone their skills in a wide variety of situations. Competition plays a role but the students' enthusiasm and team spirit are the major factors to the success of the team.

Weekly lessons are held at Synergy Farm in Kemptville with our Internationally recognized Grand Prix coach, Lauren Hunkin. While at competitions, the host school supplies both the horses and equipment necessary to compete. Students pay a player fee each semester to cover lessons, and pay for shows separately. Students must be full-time undergraduate students in order to compete in both circuits.
