The month of October is an exciting one at the University of Ottawa because it's playoff time. The 2010-2011 season has been off to a great start and should see all three fall programs competing in the playoffs. Though the season is ending for some teams, it's just beginning for others. Men's and women's hockey kicks off this month as well as women's volleyball and swimming.

I encourage all of you to come witness the commitment and pride exhibited by the more than 300 varsity student-athletes representing our university, who train hard every day to bring success to the playing surface and to the classroom.
