The badminton team is now student organized and operated, with three an hour and a half or two hour long scheduled practices a week. We participate in 5-6 tournaments a year, depending on player interest. Most tournaments are in the Ottawa area; however, some are in nearby cities such as Kingston and Waterloo.

Although the team no longer competes in the OUA, it still enforces a set of rules pertaining to attendance and conduct. Despite the stringent practice schedules and attendance policies, most players who have been on the team would agree that it is a great way for students of all ages to have fun and meet new people. During the year, there are a number of outings and events, such as fundraising tournaments and team dinners. At the end of the year, there is a banquet for all the competitive sports clubs, which is always a team favorite
