Terry-Fox Athletic Facility

Located at 2960 Riverside Drive and opened in the early 1970s, the Terry Fox Athletic Facility is the home of the Gee-Gees men’s and women’s cross-country and track teams. This athletic complex includes a polyurethane running track and three natural sports fields. This facility has a seating capacity of 1,200.

Facilities at Montpetit Hall

Parking: A parking lot is available J.-J.-Lussier Street near Montpetit Hall for $3.50/hour (no daily maximum) to a maximum of $8.50/night on weeknights and $6/day on weekends. Special rates are available during Gee-Gees home games. Parking meters are also available for $3.50/hour and are in operation 24/7.

Matt Anthony Field

Constructed in 2001, the Matt Anthony Field, located outside of the Sports Complex, is the host of the Gee-Gees women’s soccer and women’s rugby teams. It is also the practice facility for the men’s football team. It is made from Field Turf artificial surface and has a seating capacity of 1,500.

Matt Anthony had a very long and successful career with the Montreal Alouettes, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Ottawa Rough Riders in the CFL. He was the Gee-Gees head football coach for 15 years and led the team to seven championships and three perfect seasons.

Frank Clair Stadium

Located at Lansdowne Park, the Lansdowne field was built in 1908. The stadium changed its name in 1993 to become Frank Clair stadium. The Gee-Gees began playing their home games there in 1957. Frank Clair Stadium was once home to the Ottawa Rough Riders and the Ottawa Renegades of the Canadian Football League. In the summer of 2008, a part of the stadium was destroyed because of crumbling infrastructure, reducing the seating capacity from 28,826 to 14,542.

Frank James Clair was a Canadian Football League coach after completing his playing career as a receiver. In 1941, he played seven games with the Washington Redskins from the National Football League. He also won two Grey Cups with the Toronto Argonauts and finished his career with the Ottawa Rough Riders with whom he won three Grey Cups as a coach and two more as a general manager. He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1981.

Louis-Riel Dome

The Louis-Riel Dome is the home of the Gee-Gees men’s and women’s track meets. It includes a full-size sport field of 150m x 48m which can be divided into three smaller fields of 35m x 48m. There are also four 400m lanes six 120m lanes.

Parking: There are 270 parking stalls available onsite
