Mathieu Riendeau, Basketball
In uOttawa’s two weekend games, Mathieu Riendeau, the third year centre from Ottawa, Ontario combined for 30 points, 24 rebounds and was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line. Riendeau was the Gee-Gees leading scorer in Friday night’s 74-66 win over Waterloo with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
On Saturday night Riendeau picked up 10 points and 9 rebounds in the Gee-Gees 73-59 victory against Laurier. The 6’10” 215 lb. Arts Major is in his first year with the Gee-Gees after two years at St. Lawrence College. Riendeau is third in the OUA with a 62% free throw percentage.
The Gee-Gees (4-2 OUA, 11-5 overall) are on the road this weekend beginning on Friday, November 27 at McMaster followed by a Saturday, November 28 contest against Lakehead. Both games start at 8:00 p.m.
