For his standout shooting performances in two Gee-Gee men’s basketball victories, this week’s Desjardins uOttawa Athlete of the week is first year forward Vikas Gill.
Gill came off the bench in Friday’s win at Toronto and scored 14 points, with 5 rebounds. He followed that up with a 15 point performance at Ryerson, on the strength of his pure shooting from the free throw line and 3-3 accuracy from three-point territory. He also had a key steal in the final minute of action which helped to secure the win.
The Stittsville, Ontario product will look to build on these performances in front of the hometown crowd at this Wednesday’s Capital Hoops Classic at Scotiabank Place.
