Playoffs will begin this week for women’s soccer and the football team with Ottawa hosting first round playoff games on Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon. The soccer team finished third in the OUA East conference and will face Toronto on Wednesday at 6 p.m. while the football team ranked fourth in the regular season standings and will host Guelph on Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at tickets.geegees.ca
The women’s rugby team won its first playoff game of 2017 and will host the RSEQ conference final on Friday night at 6 p.m. against the Laval Rouge et Or. FULL STORY.
The men’s hockey team split its first road weekend of the season, winning 3-2 at Windsor before taking a 7-3 loss at Western. The women’s hockey team had two goals from Mélodie Bouchard force overtime at Carleton on Sunday night before the Ravens won 3-2 in shootout.
The swimming team scored big points against its competition at the Laurentian Invitational, handily winning the meet with its hosts and Waterloo in both the men’s and women’s team standings. The team will host a meet at home on Friday at Montpetit Hall.
The women’s basketball team went 1-2 in exhibition play at the Metro Glebe Tournament, defeating UNBC on Friday before taking losses against Bishop’s and Carleton. Fourth-year forward Jen Crowe and first-year forward Brigitte Lefebvre-Okankwu were named to the tournament all-star team.
