Men’s basketball: Host men’s Polish development team, Friday

MEN’S BASKETBALL (0-0 OUA, 8-4 overall):

Host men’s Polish development team Friday, October 30, 3:00 p.m. at Montpetit Hall (125 University).

 

NOTES:

This will be the first time the Gee-Gees have competes against the Polish development team.

The Polish team have already played two games this week. They lost their tour opener to Ryerson on the weekend and were defeated by the Guelph Phoenix, the Guelph Youth Basketball Association’s men’s team, 94-83 on Wednesday.

The Polish team consists mainly of players 18 to 20 years old and plays in the Polish league’s second division.

The Poles have been practicing at the Air Canada Centre throughout the week. 

The Gee-Gees hosted the Jack Donohue Tip-off Tournament this past weekend. They lost to Cape Breton 78-97 and lost a close game to Toronto University 77-81 in overtime. They defeated Bishop’s University 82-73 on Sunday to finish off the tournament.

The Gee-Gees start off their regular season on Friday, November 6, on the road at Brock University. They travel to Guelph on Saturday, November 7, for their second game of the season.
