* The Gee-Gees are ranked sixth in the CIS top-ten for the second consecutive week and second in the OUA East, trailing behind Carleton (17-2 OUA) by one loss.
* These will be the Gee-Gees’ last two regular season games on the road. Next weekend they will travel across town to face Carleton to play their final regular season game.
*With only three games remaining, the Gee-Gees should be able to secure a bye to host one of the quarter-final games on February 27.
*The Gee-Gees picked up two more wins on the road last weekend, defeating the Laurentian Voyageurs 83-78 and the York Lions 85-71.
*Fifth-year all-time Gee-Gees leading scorer Josh Gibson-Bascombe (Toronto, Ont.) continues to lead the CIS in assists with 126, is fourth for steals (48) and fifth for total points (398).
*Other CIS leaders include second-year guard Warren Ward (Brampton, Ont.) who is sixth for field goals (138-290) and fifth-year guard Donnie Gibson (Kingston, Ont.) who is tenth for three-point percentage (46.5)
*Queen’s fourth-year forward Mitch Leger (Kingston, Ont.) recorded his 1300th career point Saturday, February 6, in their 70-62 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues. Leger is currently first in the CIS for rebounds per game (12.4), third for field goals (161-338) and fifth for points per game (22).
*“The last time we played Queen’s we struggled and were able to pull through in the end,” said head coach Dave DeAveiro. “They [Queen’s] have a very talented team, so it will be a tough game.”
