HEADLINE: Gibson-Bascombe leads Gee-Gees to 12th straight win

GAME STORY:

Fourth-year guard Josh Gibson-Bascombe scored 19 points and finished with a team high eight rebounds Friday as No. 2 uOttawa raced to a 26-point lead at the half before cruising to a 12th straight win in men’s basketball at Queen’s 73-58.

Gee-Gees fifth-year post player Dax Dessureault had 11 points and five rebounds.

“We played a great first half,” said Gee-Gees head coach Dave DeAveiro. “In the second half we got some guys in the floor that wouldn’t otherwise get on the floor.”

Fourth-year transfer guard Josh Wright (back) did not play for the Gee-Gees.
