The uOttawa Gee-Gees could not finish the comeback, and lost 85-76 to Ryerson on Friday night in Toronto.  With the loss, the Gee-Gees are now tied for third in the OUA East Division with the Rams.

The Gee-Gees were behind for much of the first half, but clawed their way back in the third to tie the game at 62-62. Unfortunately the garnet and grey could not sustain the momentum, and were outscored 23-14 in the fourth and final quarter.

Despite the loss, fifth-year centre Louis Gauthier, Ottawa, Ont., had by far his best game of the season in scoring a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

The Gee-Gees will have a chance to redeem themselves as they will stay in Toronto to face the Blues tomorrow night. They will need a win if they want to hold down the third spot in the OUA East Division.

Next game:

At the University of Toronto (14-6 OUA) on Saturday, February 12, 8:00 p.m. in Toronto, Ont.
