Future Stars Program

Overview

Looking for a fun team building activity? We have the ideal solution for your team. This year, team spirit will be the key theme to the success of the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees. The “Future Stars” program is designed for all the teams that are looking for an enriching and unforgettable experience. The advantage of this program is that each member of your team will participate in an organized mini-game before the Gee-Gees’ on-ice warm-up. This short game will feature modified rules to maximize fun. Better yet, this program will help improve your team spirit and increase your players’ focus!

We offer the opportunity for players to play a 40 minute mini-game right before the Gee-Gees’ on-ice warm-up. The team must arrive at the rink two (2) hours prior to Gee-Gees game time. The mini-game will start an hour and thirty (1:30) minutes before the Gee-Gees’ game. The Gee-Gees players themselves will be there to referee the game and watch the future Gee-Gees. The ’’Future Stars’’ program allows your team to be inspired and motivated by positive female role models. It is an unforgettable, fun, and entertaining hockey experience.

What can you expect?

The goal of this program is to provide an interactive, fun, and exciting experience for young girls. To make it particularly memorable, we make sure to incorporate as many activities as possible.

Here is a list of the activities you and your team can expect:

  • A 40 minute game, "out of breath" style, including a short presentation of each player before the game. Your team will face another team of similar calibre, if possible;
  • A tour of the Gee-Gees dressing room;
  • An autograph session after the game;
  • A possibility of meeting the Gee-Gee mascot;
  • A gift/souvenir for each player;

How can you participate?

If you are interested in participating in our ’’Future Stars’’ program, please e-mail the Community Development Coordinator for the Gee-Gees at geegees_community@hotmail.com and include the desired game dates that are convenient for your team. We will do our best to accommodate you, but please note that reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Hurry, we are expecting to fill up our program quickly again this year. Consult the home games schedule to book your visit.
