NOTES

*This weekend features the final two games of regular season play in the OUA East.

*With a three way tie for the No. 2 OUA East spot between Laurentian, Queen’s and Ryerson, and the Gee-Gees following behind by a single loss, this weekend will be crucial in determining who will finish second and obtain the bye to the quarter-finals and who will finish third and fourth to host the first round OUA playoff games.

*Third-year centre Hannah Sunley-Paisley (Toronto, Ont.) continues to lead the CIS standings for total points with 398 and total rebounds with 224. She is also ranked fourth for both blocks (32) and steals (52).

*The Gee-Gees split two games on the road last weekend, losing to Laurentian Friday night 60-75 and bouncing back to defeat York 68-60 Saturday evening.

*First-year guard Catherine Cloutier (St-Hubert, Qué.) is not expected to play again this weekend due to back injury.

*“This is a very important weekend,” said head coach Andy Sparks. “It [their final ranking within the division] really depends on our game against Queen’s. We’ve played them twice now, so we kind of know what to expect.”

*“The league standings are a little bit closer at this time than they were last year,” added Sparks. “This weekend, we just have to play each minute of every game.”
