Hannah Sunley-Paisley has been a force for the Gee-Gees women’s basketball all season.
Whether it’s putting up big offensive numbers game after game or going after rebounds, the third year centre from Toronto, Ontario has been the wheel that drives the uOttawa machine this year.
Sunley-Paisley was rewarded for her efforts on March 1 by being named the 2010 OUA East player of the year.
The Arts major also earned a spot on the OUA East first team all-stars.
Hannah led the OUA this season and was sixth in the CIS with 415 points scored, averaging 18.9 points in 22 games. Sunley-Paisley was second in OUA rebounding with 237 boards, averaging 10.8 a game for a season double-double.
She finished second in the nation in that department as well behind Nicki Shutz (11.0) from Toronto.
She was also near the top of the division rankings with 52 steals, 32 blocks and a 49.3 percent field goal percentage on 171-of-347 shooting.

The Ottawa Gee-Gees will host the OUA women’s basketball final at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6.
uOttawa will play the winner of the OUA west final between the Windsor Lancers and Western Mustangs scheduled for Wednesday, March 3.
