The University of Ottawa badminton team consists of competitive players who want to meet new people and work together to improve their skills. The team practices on average 5 hours a week working with coaches in a structured format including physical and technical training. The players usually train with plastic and feather shuttles to accommodate all levels of play.

The tournaments in which the team participates throughout the season are usually the following: Aylmer Team Tournament, ODBA District Championships, uOttawa Smashfest, Mark Grantham Team Tournament, Gatineau Provincials, Hull Team tournament, and OUA’s. The team regularly has excellent results, usually placing first or second in the top division of each tournament.

If you are interested in being part of the University of Ottawa badminton team, don’t hesitate to contact or check Facebook for a tryout event every September.
