The Gee-Gees continued to prove their dominance on Friday night when they throttled the University of Waterloo on the road. The Warriors struggled to put up points in a game played by mostly uOttawa bench as the Gee-Gees took a big 89-48 victory.
By the half time break the game was virtually over for Waterloo as the Gee-Gees held a 47-13 lead. Matt Plunkett continued to make an impact off the bench for uOttawa as he chipped in with eight points with four boards.
Caleb Agada paced the Gee-Gees with a 20 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double. Johnny Berhanemeskel had 15 points, five boards and five assists while Gabriel Gonthier-Dubue and Vikas Gill added 11. Charvis was the main contributor for the Warriors as he finished the day with a game high 21 points.
“We are happy with the all-round contributions we have gotten from this team. Everyone is chipping and it is making a difference. We have to come back out and compete tomorrow and next weekend to finish the first half of the season on a positive note,” said Gee-Gees center Gabriel Gonthier-Dubue.
The Gee-Gees now prepare for their Saturday night matchup against the Laurier Golden Hawks. Tip-off will take place at 8:00 p.m. and will be available for online streaming on OUA.tv.
