The second year guard from London, Ontario had an outstanding weekend for uOttawa in the Gee-Gees back-back victories over Ryerson (82-73) on Friday night and Toronto (89-69) on Saturday evening.
Over the two contests, the six foot-five inch Arts major accumulated a total of 43 points, 17 rebounds, hit 21-of-32 field goal attempts and was a perfect five-for-five from the free throw line.
Ward was particularly effective against Toronto when he was the game’s leading scorer with 38 points, 10 rebounds and 15-for-20 on his field goal tries.
With 305 points in 16 contests this season, Ward is second in Gee-Gees scoring behind Josh Gibson-Bascombe (336).
The Gee-Gees (13-3 OUA) are on the road this weekend to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs (6-10 OUA) in a Friday night contest followed by a Saturday evening match-up with the York Lions (3-13 OUA). Both games are scheduled for 8:00 p.m. tip-offs.
